Tourist Mode
Wednesday, January 26, 2011,
So what keeps me busy? Well eating mostly! :p But seriously, I'm trying to practice being a housewife. Back at home, I'm actually a princess getting all the help from a house maid. But here in Orlando, I do all manual labor at home. It was my first time in a very long time to wash the dishes, clean the bathroom, arrange my closet and keeping our room smelling fresh and looking organize and I never thought I could do all those. But this blog entry is not for all of you to get bored knowing what you normally do at home that I'm just starting to learn. This will be a blast from the past (uhmm more likely a blast of the entire week that passed by).
So you, what have you been up to? :) Labels: orlando, random updates, travel |

The Longest One Minute
Monday, December 6, 2010,
You know how it is when it's almost the end of your shift and you're just waiting for the last one minute before you can clock out? And like you're waiting to cross the world for that one last minute and it seems like it just doesn't want to come? Like every second is so painfully slow? I've always called it "the longest one minute!" That's kind of how I feel right now and J is warping into that feeling too! See what's happening is that lately we've been feeling like we miss each other a lot more. I guess it's a mixed of emotions.. of longing to be together and excitement. Sometimes we need to keep reminding each other that we're almost there. We're almost at the end of our goal. A goal that took 7 months to complete. And today, it's just 42 days away! :) Labels: random updates |

Update: My Last 75 Days in Pinas
Sunday, November 28, 2010,
Just got home from church and the priest on his homily said, "'Di nauubusan ng biyaya ang mundo!" (The world doesn't run out of blessings.) With what has been happening with my life, I am so giving the statement a two thumbs up! Why? Simply, because it's so true. I feel like for the past months, the world has been pouring all its love on me. There's just so many things to be thankful for like: how planning our wedding is getting easier by the day, how my sister is days away from taking her oath to be a Canadian citizen therefore not needing her own US visa to travel to Florida (less money to spend yay!), how my dad's interview date for his own visa is just around the corner and all the paperworks that we need are coming together and how J (after waiting for so long) already signed a lease to our new apartment! :) I know life will get better as J and I are only 50 days from being reunited... how exciting! :D Friday || 26 November In the chaos of moving back and forth from his current and new apartment, J received a package. It was our wedding invitations! It was funny how J would sniff the invites like he was addicted to the smell. :p He said it was perfect, so I can't wait to see it by January. So here you go, a preview of how it looks like. If you're interested where I got it, check my previous post. Saturday || 27 November My sister, upon knowing our plans of having a really intimate wedding, decided to give us the wedding favors as our wedding gift. :) I'll be ordering it by January, so I can still decide on what to choose. At the moment, since we're planning a "Meant to Bee" theme, here are my top choices: Christmas is coming, December posts would surely be more exciting. :) Labels: random updates, wedding, wedding invitation, wedding invitation designs |

Update: My Last 75 Days in Pinas
Sunday, November 21, 2010,
And the countdown continues today making it 58 days before I leave Manila. Yes, I know I have not been updating you guys but heck my job is keeping me asleep at mornings! :p But I'm not complaining, my job has been giving me a lot of good vibes lately. :) So what's been happening? Friday || 05 November Google.com has released a version of their page where you can personalize it! But sadly, it doesn't work if you have a Philippine IP address. But here, look at what J did for his. :) This was a photo taken while we were watching the sunrise at our hotel balcony in Tagaytay. This was taken using J's camera set in a 10-second timer. It doesn't show, but we were wearing matching Nike running jackets that I love love love. :) Saturday || 13 November This is what's keeping me busy, work work work but all fun fun fun! Once I leave, I'm sure gonna miss the people I've been working with and the job itself. And yes, my hair is getting really long. ;) Friday || 19 November And this last update is what I'm so excited about. We just ordered our wedding invitations online! I wanted to do it by myself but I just don't have enough time to spare at the moment. So I found this great website online which offers inexpensive personalized invitations. I've read great reviews for Wedding Paper Divas and I can't wait to see the final output of our own invites. :) It's a really simple postcard type of invitation since we're only doing an intimate civil wedding. I will be sharing some pictures once J receives it by end of this month but for now here's the back part of the invitation which I'm inviting you to read. It's like a 3-sentence summary of our entire love story! :p Labels: Last 75 days, random updates, wedding, wedding invitation, wedding invitation designs |

Tagaytay Invasion
Friday, October 1, 2010,
It's been hard for me lately to update this blog and I apologize for that. Nothing much is new besides the fact that I've survived a week of grammar school and I have one last week to go. And let me say, I've learned a lot and excited to learn more. :) Last Sunday, I twitted that I was all over Tagaytay. Well a close of friend mine, Loo, will be leaving for Australia by the end of this month and having lunch at Sonya's Garden was part of his going-away party. But that didn't end there. We went all the way to Calaruega, drank coffee at Bag of Beans and lastly had dinner at Leslie's. Saying that I got so tired was an understatement. But I had so much fun laughing at random jokes and stuffing my face with too much food! :p I wonder what will happen this weekend? Hmm. :) Labels: random updates |

Antihistamine Needed
Friday, September 24, 2010,
I'm one of those unlucky ones who are allergic to shrimps. But I couldn't say no to my high school friends who were celebrating their birthdays. We had a blast at Polu Kai at Serendra last Sunday, eating a lot of fried shrimps! I needed to drink a tablet of antihistamine for this one. :) I finished just 22 shrimps but I've also had steak and chicken with rice so not bad, huh? With Faith and Prayers
Thursday, September 23, 2010,
An excerpt from Chicken Soup for the Bride's Soul, Chapter 4. Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when dreams come true at last, there is life and joy. Proverbs 13:12 Snowy white gown, glass slippers and a prince charming are my ultimate fantasies. I’m no different with other little girls, when I dream, I dream of fairytale coming true. Now I’m so near my fairytale ending but challenges keep on popping up like an evil Step Mother. But I’ve had enough pessimism. I’m done with thinking of negative thoughts for the entire year! Just to share some updates, J and I are slowly planning our wedding. Sometimes it’s a big headache but we’re good at running away from it. We’re good at doing something else than think of the wedding preparations! We wouldn’t have this setback if we would continue to just having a court wedding. Quick, plain and simple. Our original plan was a court wedding in the US for around 20 guests. Then after around two years, go back to the Philippines for a church wedding with more of our family and friends. But it seems like God is moving us in another direction and now everybody wants us to have a Catholic wedding first, especially J’s Dad. We, J and I, actually thought about it, but it seems like a waste of money if you do a church wedding in the US. But since J’s family has a lot of friends in the church, it seems like we might be able to do it with less or no cost at all! Let’s just say that everything is still under “negotiations.” But hopefully, fingers crossed, even toes crossed, we would be able to be wed under God’s blessings. We are now asking for all of you, to help us pray for this desire that we have. We are keeping our faith up and leaving everything in prayers. :) xoxo, K Labels: random updates |
I've always loved photoblogs. I feel like I'm more of a
visual person than a writer. Sometimes though my brain
loves to tell stories and thanks to Inquirer, one has
been published already. So this blog will be a mix of
both: things I see through my lens or letters I type down
on my laptop. (: Best viewed using Google Chrome.
