I've always loved photoblogs. I feel like I'm more of a visual person than a writer. Sometimes though my brain loves to tell stories and thanks to Inquirer, one has been published already. So this blog will be a mix of both: things I see through my lens or letters I type down on my laptop. (: Best viewed using Google Chrome.
Our Tiny Little Secrets
Sunday, March 6, 2011, 3:15 AM

And so almost 2 weeks had passed when I legally became J's missus. A lot happened for a ceremony that lasted around 3 minutes. If you were one of our guests, you'd probably know these things. But since I'm bored and hubby is playing with his Xbox, I've got no choice but to share these with all of you. :p

J's parents and my dad speaks the same dialect -- Hiligaynon!
We paid $30 to get married!
A cousin of mine from Switzerland attended our wedding. :)
Funny how he said "I DO"
when the question wasn't finished yet! :p

Our beautiful cake was made by our close friend, Joselyn. :)

We kinda wiped icing onto each other's faces! :p

And we had so much fun with the window marker!! :D

"I Wed Thee"
Sunday, February 27, 2011, 11:11 PM

J and I have been together for 1 year 7 months and 14 days before we went all out and exchanged "I Do's!" Like any other love stories, we had our ups and downs. The distance that kept us from being together before made us a stronger couple now. And although there are days when we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, we never had any doubts of wanting to spend the rest of our lives together. It took a while to get to this point and now we're Mr. & Mrs., I still cannot believe the happy ending just started.  :)

Update: My Last 75 Days in Pinas
Sunday, November 28, 2010, 9:21 AM

Just got home from church and the priest on his homily said, "'Di nauubusan ng biyaya ang mundo!" (The world doesn't run out of blessings.) With what has been happening with my life, I am so giving the statement a two thumbs up! Why? Simply, because it's so true. I feel like for the past months, the world has been pouring all its love on me. There's just so many things to be thankful for like: how planning our wedding is getting easier by the day, how my sister is days away from taking her oath to be a Canadian citizen therefore not needing her own US visa to travel to Florida (less money to spend yay!), how my dad's interview date for his own visa is just around the corner and all the paperworks that we need are coming together and how J (after waiting for so long) already signed a lease to our new apartment! :) I know life will get better as J and I are only 50 days from being reunited... how exciting! :D

Friday || 26 November

In the chaos of moving back and forth from his current and new apartment, J received a package. It was our wedding invitations! It was funny how J would sniff the invites like he was addicted to the smell. :p He said it was perfect, so I can't wait to see it by January. So here you go, a preview of how it looks like. If you're interested where I got it, check my previous post.

Saturday || 27 November

My sister, upon knowing our plans of having a really intimate wedding, decided to give us the wedding favors as our wedding gift. :) I'll be ordering it by January, so I can still decide on what to choose. At the moment, since we're planning a "Meant to Bee" theme, here are my top choices:

Christmas is coming, December posts would surely be more exciting. :)

Update: My Last 75 Days in Pinas
Sunday, November 21, 2010, 12:29 AM

And the countdown continues today making it 58 days before I leave Manila.

Yes, I know I have not been updating you guys but heck my job is keeping me asleep at mornings! :p But I'm not complaining, my job has been giving me a lot of good vibes lately. :) So what's been happening?

Friday || 05 November
Google.com has released a version of their page where you can personalize it! But sadly, it doesn't work if you have a Philippine IP address. But here, look at what J did for his. :)
This was a photo taken while we were watching the sunrise at our hotel balcony in Tagaytay. This was taken using J's camera set in a 10-second timer. It doesn't show, but we were wearing matching Nike running jackets that I love love love. :)

Saturday || 13 November
This is what's keeping me busy, work work work but all fun fun fun! Once I leave, I'm sure gonna miss the people I've been working with and the job itself. And yes, my hair is getting really long. ;)

Friday || 19 November
And this last update is what I'm so excited about. We just ordered our wedding invitations online! I wanted to do it by myself but I just don't have enough time to spare at the moment. So I found this great website online which offers inexpensive personalized invitations. I've read great reviews for Wedding Paper Divas and I can't wait to see the final output of our own invites. :) It's a really simple postcard type of invitation since we're only doing an intimate civil wedding. I will be sharing some pictures once J receives it by end of this month but for now here's the back part of the invitation which I'm inviting you to read. It's like a 3-sentence summary of our entire love story! :p

Wedding Bells
Monday, October 11, 2010, 11:37 AM

To celebrate the once in a lifetime 10/10/10, J's friend Jorge, got married! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Reveron!

Here he is with his high school buddies. Eveybody is now married, except for J. He's kind of like the lonely boy in the group: posing alone and going to get togethers alone. But we all know that it will soon change. And by next year, it will be our wedding photos I'll be posting here. :)

A mix of cultures: Haitian Will, Puerto Ricans Jorge & Rob, and my Filipino-Spanish J.

J with the best man, Rob. :)

Being Creative
Saturday, September 25, 2010, 5:43 PM

I just spent 5 hours in front of my laptop doing nothing but PhotoShopping! Not having any external mouse did not stop me from creating different layouts for our wedding invitations. I was just doing it the entire afternoon with little breaks for origami tutorials. My plan on the third design was to incorporate those words on a heart origami. Hopefully I got the layout correctly. I'll be printing sample copies of these in the next few days so we can decide what to choose and what to tweak. What do you like best? :)
